This is a very well-equipped hotel on the East Side of Dushu Lake, near the new university district and the industrial zone, quite a few kilometres outside the old town. If you have business to do in this area, it's a good option, with friendly and helpful staff, a gym, an excellent breakfast buffet, and so on. The rooms are bigger than many studio apartments in Manhattan, and were very comfortable. The only things I did not like about my room were the tapping noise that seemed to come from the air conditioner sometimes, and the lighting in the bathroom -- good luck if you hope to see what you're doing when you're shaving or putting your make-up on! A real positive from my point of view was that I could turn the air con off and open a window. The lake is beautiful and so are the grounds of the hotel, so it is understandable that they do a good conference and convention business.
