The Kansas City Convention Center has eight-square-block convention and special event facility can accommodate every need with 388,800 square feet of column-free exhibit space on one floor, 48 state-of-the-art meeting rooms, a 2,400-seat fine arts theater, and arena that seats more than 10,700 people and two unique outdoor reception, festival and activity areas. The Arena, nicknamed Municipal, plays host to numerous events throughout the year. The Arena has a rich history in College Basketball, often hosting the Big 12 Women's Tournament, and is the permanent home of the NAIA Men's Division Basketball Tournament. Over 80 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament games have been played in the Arena, including 9 Final Fours, which is more than any other facility.
