The Culture and Congress Centre Gera (kuk; former House of Culture or HdK) is an event and conference building in the center of Gera . It was created in 1977 [1] in the course of further development of the " socialist town center "and was on 2 October 1981, the presence of Kurt Hager officially opened. [1] It has a multipurpose hall with 1,700 seats and a number of restaurants; a bowling alley was canceled at about the turn of the millennium. A special feature is the 450 m² large relief wall "Song of Life" in the foyer, at their Facilities 24 sculptors of the GDR, led by Jo Jastram were involved.
