The American Society of Clinical Oncology is the leading organization of oncologists and cancer specialists. Headquartered in the Alexandria, the center was established in 1964. The center contains 30,000 oncology practitioners attached to it including physicians and health-care professionals of oncology. All the members of the center focus on the fight against the dangers of cancer and to save lives of more and more cancer patients. The center is the brain child of some legendary names like Drs. Fred Ansfield, Harry Bisel, Herman Freckman, Arnoldus Goudsmit, Robert Talley, William Wilson, and Jane Wright. The nonprofit body, the American Society of Clinical Oncology researches all types of cancer research, with special focus on patient-oriented clinical research.
