Chocolate Museum

Panorama!

They give you some samples of chocolate and actually it shows you how the chocolate is made right there in front of your eyes. You can also make your own Lindt chocolate. The also have a shop with a lot of mouthwatering chocolates, comfits and coffee. A bit expensive compared to the importance of the museum, though. If your in Cologne and your visit the Kolner Dom (The great Church) then you are walking distance of this Chocolate Museum. For a few euros you get to see a good history on chocolate (especially German/European) and a full understanding of how it;s made from picking of the cocoa beans to production. There is a factory production line where you actually see the chocolate being made and get to taste it. At the end of the self guided tour you can go through the large gift shop on the way out which has a HUGE selection of chocolates and other sweets. A great way to spend an hour to an hour and a half if you have a little free time.
