The Olmsted Linear Park Alliance (OLPA) is a public-private partnership that was founded in 1997 to implement a Fredrick Law Olmsted's original vision for the Park with master plan adopted by the city of Atlanta, DeKalb County and Fernbank, Inc. Through a series of capital campaigns, OLPA raised more than $9.5 million to ensure the restoration and preservation of the Park. All six segments —Oak Grove, Shadyside, Virgilee, Dellwood, Springdale, and Deepdene have been rehabilitated for all to enjoy whether one is taking a leisurely stroll, running with their dog, chatting with neighbors or just witnessing the beauty of the park.
